In 2019, XPRTHUB offered support to Seaway 7 for the preparation of a tender involving the installation of drilled pile foundations in weathered rock for a huge wind farm off the Scottish coast. Extensive use was made of drilling experience at various offshore locations, using open hole drilling with reverse circulation. Due attention was given to borehole stability, pile design, pile installation and grouting to ensure a safe and effective installation process.
